Inorganic and Solid State Chemistry

The Inorganic and Solid State Chemistry Section of Chemistry covers the core and applied aspects of discrete inorganic compounds, incorporating main group elements and/or d- and f-block metals, and coordination networks, including metal-organic frameworks, coordination polymers, and hybrid perovskites. The scope of this Section includes the synthesis and characterization of new compounds via solution or solid state methods, and their characterization by experimental methods, including spectroscopic, mass spectrometry, and X-ray diffraction methods (single crystal and powder), as well as investigations and applications of physical and chemical properties. Papers dealing with the synthesis and structure of a single compound will not usually be considered, unless the work is of particular significance. Theoretical investigations of bonding within discrete molecular species are welcome, as are the analyses of data to explore structure–property relationships.

Contributions to the Inorganic and Solid State Chemistry Section of Chemistry can be in the form of original articles, communications, or reviews. In addition, Special Issues concerning high impact topics will also be published.
