Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Safety and quality are the most important goals of research in pediatric anesthesia and intensive care. The specificity of our clinical field needs a personalized approach to patient care, taking into account their differences from adults. The recent literature has been focused on clinical risks to improve outcomes and patient experience, but there are still many unanswered questions. The techniques, pharmacology, devices, monitoring, and human aspects in anesthesia and intensive care must be adapted to children throughout their development, from prematurity to adolescence.

This Special Issue invites original research articles, notable clinical findings, and review articles that present and discuss advancements in research and innovative approaches involving anesthesia and intensive care, covering different aspects of translational research and treatments in children and neonates.

We especially encourage the submission of interdisciplinary and multi-country collaborative research. We welcome the submission of original research papers using different study designs and critical and relevant reviews, including systematic reviews.
