Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Evidence-based parenting interventions promote school readiness, reduce child emotional and behavioral challenges, and increase parental responsivity and family resilience. Pediatric primary care is an optimal setting in which to offer parenting prevention and intervention programs, as parents generally report high levels of trust in their child’s pediatric team and a desire for additional behavioral support offerings. We invite original articles and reviews that can contribute to and enhance our understanding of the following:

  • The “Real-world” implementation of parenting interventions in pediatric settings.
  • Parents’ preferences regarding the delivery of parenting interventions in pediatric settings.
  • Screening and identification for parenting interventions in pediatric settings.
  • The engagement of parents in parenting interventions in pediatric settings.
  • Novel delivery methods for parenting interventions.
