Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Wood is a multipurpose material that is widely used throughout the world. Wood tissue is formed through xylogenesis, which is genetically controlled and modified by environmental factors and silviculture. In this Special Issue, we aim to collect articles showing the latest research results on wood properties and formation. Climate change may affect the condition of forests and, thus, the supply of wood raw materials. On the other hand, the increasing world population may affect the demand for wood raw materials. Therefore, the goal of modern forest management and the various timber production solutions used worldwide is both the sustainable use of forest resources and the supply of timber to the market in sufficient quantity and quality.

For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Forests is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.
