Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
The treatment of intracranial aneurysms in particular and neurovascular diseases in general involves several approaches aimed at preventing rupture and minimizing the risk of neurological damage. The choice of treatment depends on factors such as the size and location of the aneurysm, the patient's overall health, and the presence of any symptoms. Surgical intervention or endovascular procedures such as endovascular coiling or flow diverter deployment may be associated with complications, which can differ in severity and etiology.
To overcome treatment-related risks and potentially reduce complication rates for individual patients, a highly interdisciplinary research effort is required, which strongly benefits from artificial intelligence-based solutions. This Special Issue will provide a platform for sharing experiences with the latest treatment approaches, advanced treatment planning tools, and novel concepts and ideas, which may help to address the future needs of affected patients.
