A section of Journal of Functional Biomaterials (ISSN 2079-4983).

Section Information

Biomaterials for Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine is a section that covers biomaterial sciences and their applications to tissue engineering and regenerative medicine for treating or repairing damaged tissue and organs. The scope of the section covers biomaterial sciences, methods/technologies to engineer scaffolds/constructs from biomaterial, and biomaterial-based tissue regeneration and visualization. The topics include but are not limited to biomaterials' physical, mechanical and biological science, biomaterial synthesis, and biomaterial interaction with the host environment, biomaterial printing and bioprinting, biomaterial-based tissue regeneration and cancer therapies in vitro and in vivo, and advanced methods/technologies to track biomaterial or scaffold-treated tissue regeneration in animal models and human patients.
