Young Investigator Award

Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to announce that the winner of the JMSE 2021 Young Investigator Award is Dr. Tiago Fazeres-Ferradosa.

Dr. Tiago Fazeres-Ferradosa is the responsible for the R&D sub-unit Offshore Structures and Foundations of the Marine Energy Group at the Faculty of Engineering of University of Porto and the Interdisciplinary Centre for Marine and Environmental Research. His research interests include the study of scour and erosion in marine structures, risk analysis applied to coastal and offshore engineering, and the prediction of extreme sea states. Dr. Tiago Fazeres-Ferradosa received his Ph.D. in 2018 and has an outstanding publication record of 42 publications in peer-reviewed international journals as well as as Hirsch-Index of 12 and 411 citations in Scopus.

As the awardee, Dr. Tiago Fazeres-Ferradosa will receive an honorarium of CHF 2000, a chance to publish a paper free of charge in JMSE in 2022, and an engraved plaque.
