Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

High-field NMR is a major structural biology technique whose versatility has led to many imaginative applications to address difficult biological problems which are often inaccessible to other methods. It is currently used to study samples in both the solution and solid states, either as purified proteins or in the cell. Its main strength lies in its ability to provide amino-acid level structural or dynamics information. Its ability to detect transient, short-lived states has had a significant impact on our understanding of biological processes and disease mechanisms.

The focus of this Special Issue is on the frontier of NMR applications in structural biology. We welcome submissions on either the applications or technological developments of NMR in either the solution or solid states to obtain structural information, particularly on transient or dynamic systems, in cells, in challenging systems such a membrane proteins, and in aggregation-prone systems.

Articles reporting original research as well as reviews will be considered for publication.

Authors are strongly encouraged to submit a brief abstract (200 words) to the guest editor by (date to be completed in agreement between Prof Lian and MDPI managers). Abstracts will be reviewed in consultation with the editors at Molecules. Full manuscripts submitted by (date to be decided) will be guaranteed full consideration.

Prof. Dr. Lu-Yun Lian
Guest Editor

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Molecules is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.

Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 2700 CHF (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
