Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

This Special Issue is dedicated to the novel catalytic materials presenting high performance and robustness to be used in valuable chemical reactions for environmental benign applications. The use of heterogeneous catalysts can support sustainable applications or even attribute sustainable properties to chemical processes by the combination of catalytic efficiency and environmentally friendly conditions. In the context of the principles of Green Chemistry, heterogeneous catalysis has opened new routes for organic synthesis, improving the sustainability of chemical transformations by using environmentally benign conditions and chemicals. Furthermore, the application of recovered solid catalysts has been increasing the lifetime of catalysts, facilitating catalyst separation and avoiding mass loss occurrence, promoting the viability of chemical processes to industrial application.

This Special Issue intends to highlight current progress on the development of advanced catalysis and synthesis strategies for sustainable and environmentally benign processes. Manuscripts submitted should present novel materials, both metal and non-metal solid catalysts, and their applications ranging from biocatalysis, metal catalysis, organocatalysis, photocatalysis, etc., demonstrating a strong linkage between heterogeneous catalysis and sustainable purposes.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Molecules is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
