Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

The manuscript is talking about a brief analysis of the triangle method between temperature and vegetation. I have the next considerations in order to clarify the letter:

Lines 92 to 98. Equation format and variable meanings.

In the case of section Uncertainties in the triangle. Maybe, you should consider the point of different latitudes or regions. Because, it is not the same in tropical region in comparison with polar region or others.

In the final conclusions, you must talk about the possibility to get more studies, because you do not have several references to consider an approximity to this method.

You must fix the references format.

Author Response

Equation format: Equations are clear, but I realize that they may not precisely fit standard MDPI protocol and may have become displaced in transit to the reviewers.  I leave that to the editors to make the fix, although the additional effort to do so for these four expressions should be minimal. .

Different latitudes and regions: the point is well taken. This method should be explored further. I will try to amplify this idea in the conclusions.

I do not understand the final comment other than the reference to a lack of references.  I am aware of many more papers on the subject than are quoted in the letter, but I did not want it to be a literature review. Instead, I referred only to papers relevant to the text. If the author would be willing to cite those additional papers, I’d be glad to include them in the paper and in the references.

References: I tried to follow MDPI format looking at other papers but if I have failed to exactly meet the journal’s requirements, I hope that their editors can help. I believe that my correspondent at MDPI implied that they would do this.

Reviewer 2 Report

This paper presents a mathematically simple primer for constructing and applying the triangle method. An interesting systematic methodology is described for constructing the triangle in tandem with a computer and displaying a crop moisture index.

The manuscript is well written and it is easy to comprehend it. Overall, the presented research could be valuable to other researchers in this field, so I recommend its publication in the journal.

Reviewer 3 Report

The letter entitled " A Brief Analysis of the Triangle Method and a Proposal for its Operational Implementation” explores the triangle method efficiency in optical/thermal remote sensing. The scientific letter is well structured and provides useful information for the readers of the journal. The letter can be published without any further revisions.
