Dear authors,

In my opinion, this work is very relevant and very well written. However, as a way to improve the quality of the work, I think the article should have a table comparing your results with the results of other similar works presented in the literature. Please add a table comparing your results with others in the literature, showing the advantages and disadvantages.

Other than that, I think that the article is ready for publication.

This paper presents the design of two types of an antenna ( monopole for wide coverage) and patch array for the narrow beamwidth radiation pattern. this work is well written and has good organization. 

 

I have the following comments that must be taken into consideration.

 

1- The abstract must be more clear, please enrich it with the following information. structure size, bandwidth, applications, isolation value between the elements, and type of substrate that has been used in the design.

 

2- Enrich the introduction with recent and on-date references that are related to your work and describe their properties in detail.

 

3- mention your contribution and what you will achieve using this design in the paragraph ( before the last paragraph in the introduction section). and also here mention using CST Microwave studio and cite it.

 

4- Dedicate the last paragraph of the introduction to the work details like ( Section 2 describes ................ and so on)

 

5- are you planning to use this antenna in two places (the ceiling of the car and behind the headlights) please clarify this.

 

6- Which network analyzer has been utilized for measuring  S-parameters (a picture with the s-parameter setup would be nice).

 

7- Repeat point no.6 for the radiation pattern.

 

 8- please enrich the conclusion with the following information. structure size, bandwidth, applications, isolation value between the elements, and type of substrate that has been used in the design. with a sentence for future work.
