SI Best Paper

Dear Colleagues,

To award the excellence of the papers in the Special Issue: “A Tribute to Oleg Zatsarinny (1953–2021) and His Science–Fees Are Waived”, we are pleased to launch our new Best Paper Award. One paper will receive this award. The papers will be selected after thorough evaluation by an Award Committee consisting of senior scholars from the Atoms Editorial Board.


Eligibility for the awards:
– Open to all career levels;
– Papers published in the Special Issue “A Tribute to Oleg Zatsarinny (1953–2021) and His Science–Fees Are Waived” will be considered;
– Reviews and research articles will be considered;
– The papers published by Guest Editor(s) will not be granted this award.

Selection Criteria:
Papers will be selected by the journal Award Committee according to the following criteria:
– Scientific merit and broad impact;
– Relevance to the SI and journal scope;
– Originality of the research objectives and/or the ideas presented (for research article);
– Creativity of the study design or uniqueness of the approaches and concepts (for research article);
– Comprehensiveness for review article;
– Citations (data source: Web of Science (Clarivate Analytics)) and download rates in 2022.

Prizes:
– CHF 500;
– The winner will also receive a certificate.

The winner will be announced on the journal website by the end of January 2023.
