We would like to inform you that the nomination deadline for the Current Oncology 2021 Young Investigator Award has been extended from 31 October 2021 to 31 December 2021. This extension will give our nominees two extra months to prepare and submit their materials. This award will be given to one young investigator in recognition of her/his excellence in the field of clinical oncology. All nominations will be assessed by an Evaluation Committee led by our Editor-in-Chief, Prof. Dr. Sharlene Gill.
− CHF 2000 (Swiss francs);
− Option to publish one paper free of charge in Current Oncology after peer review before 31 December 2022.
Eligibility and Requirements:
− Have completed oncology training and/or received their PhD no more than 10 years prior to 31 December 2021;
− Must have achieved notable recognition, have publications in peer-reviewed journals, and have made a research contribution that has meaningfully advanced the field of clinical oncology;
− Candidates must be nominated by two senior scientists/researchers;
− Priority will be given to applicants who have publications where they are listed as the first author or senior author in Current Oncology.
List of Documents for Nomination:
–Detailed curriculum vitae, including an updated publication list and a list of the researcher’s own research grants;
− Scanned copy of doctorate certificate;
− Signed nomination letters from two established senior scientists (at least one must be of professor or clinical professor rank).

Winners announcement: 28 February 2022.
