Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

There have been many studies published on mental health after disasters. However, it is rare to see reports on effective intervention studies aimed at improving post-disaster mental health. This Special Issue aims to discuss new knowledge or cutting-edge development in the disaster medicine, psychiatry and social epidemiology research field through selected works, which will make a great contribution to the community. We consider that this issue will be the best forum for disseminating excellent research findings as well as sharing innovative ideas in the field.

Disasters include not only earthquakes, but also typhoons, heavy rains, forest fires, and, more recently, the COVID-19 pandemic. The study target may include children and adults, the general population, health care professionals, and supporters. Contributions to this important Special Issue will be accepted by invitation only. In order to benefit both authors and readers, published papers will be waived of the publication fee.

You are welcome to send a tentative title and a short abstract to me for evaluation before submission. Please note that selected full papers will still be subjected to a thorough and rigorous peer review.

I am looking forward to receiving your excellent work.

Dr. Yuka Kotozaki
Guest Editor
