Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

The tobacco product landscape is constantly changing, and public health officials, policymakers, clinicians, and tobacco users need to be informed of the health effects of using noncigarette tobacco products, including electronic cigarettes, cigars and cigarillos, waterpipe/hookah, traditional smokeless tobacco, snus, and nicotine pouches. The goal of this Special Issue is to publish robust and innovative studies of tobacco use health effects that highlight the importance of tobacco use assessment, tobacco product evaluation, addiction and dependence, toxicity, carcinogenesis, cardiovascular effects, and other areas informative to this field. Randomized controlled trials or rigorous observational studies are welcomed. Research describing health effects of tobacco use on priority populations, including sexual and gender minorities, youth and young adults, racial and ethnic minorities, or rural or Appalachian residents are encouraged. Studies with regulatory-focused research questions are especially welcomed for this Special Issue.

Disclaimer: We will not accept research funded in part or full by any tobacco companies in this Special Issue. For more details, please check: https://0-www-mdpi-com.brum.beds.ac.uk/1660-4601/15/12/2831/htm.
