Gastroenterology & Hepatopancreatobiliary Medicine

A section of Journal of Clinical Medicine (ISSN 2077-0383).

Section Information

The digestive system includes the digestive tract, liver, biliary tract, and pancreas and occupies most of the internal organs. It is an essential organ system for survival not only for digestion, absorption, and metabolism of food but also for immunity and excretion. Gastroenterology and Hepatopancreatobiliary Medicine covers not only organic diseases such as inflammatory diseases, infectious diseases, intractable immunological diseases, and malignant tumors, but also functional diseases such as irritable bowel syndrome. From that perspective, it is a field that includes all possible disease forms. Recently, biologics for inflammatory diseases and malignant tumors have been developed one after another, new anti-secretory agents and prokinetics have appeared, and treatment options in the field are diversifying. The digestive system is a very attractive and useful organ system to explore and deepen our understanding in human science. We sincerely welcome your submission to the Journal of Clinical Medicine. Our readers are waiting for your contribution to research on Gastroenterology and Hepatopancreatobiliary Medicine.
