We are very proud and honored to announce the international conference “Polymers 2024—Polymers for a Safe and Sustainable Future”, organized in collaboration with the MDPI open access journal Polymers, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and BIOMAC project, and Exelisis Co. The conference will be held in Athens, Greece, on May 28–31, 2024.

Polymers 2024 is an international conference that will explore the latest advances in polymer science to produce safe and sustainable materials, with unique properties for human health and environmental sustainability. The conference will also discuss clean, green, and efficient production processes, life cycle assessments, exposure, risk assessment, decontamination and environmental remediation, and novel techniques for polymer recycling and reuse. Polymers 2024 is a unique opportunity for polymer scientists from around the world to present their work and innovations in polymer chemistry and technology under the view of sustainable development.

The conference follows the previous successful meetings Polymers 2018—Polymers: Design, Function and Application held in March 2018, Barcelona, Spain and Polymers 2022: New Trends in Polymer Science: Health of the Planet, Health of the People held in May 2022 in Turin, Italy.

We welcome abstracts for posters or short talks related to the conference theme, which will be considered for presentation at the conference. Meeting participants will have the opportunity to present their work and discuss their research in a stimulating environment.

We are pleased to announce that the 8th International Electronic Conference on Water Sciences (ECWS-8) is back. The conference is organized by the MDPI journal Water (ISSN: 2073-4441, Impact Factor: 3.4) and will take place virtually on 14–16 Oct 2024, Central European Summer Time. The conference is free to participate in.

ECWS-8 invites researchers from academia, as well as water practitioners, to contribute original findings, novel ideas, scientific concepts and new technologies and experiences to deal with water resource management, policies and governance, with a special focus on sustainability, resilience, uncertainty, risk and adaptation, referencing the following topics:

1–5 July 2024 The 24th IEEE International Workshop on Security Management Design for Reliable Third-Party Payment (SDTPP)

This workshop will invite relevant scholars to discuss middleware design with personal data security, cross-platform mobile phone authentication security, cash flow transaction security, and information security. It will also focus on the technical and regulatory difficulties different countries face in response to multiple payment models. To jointly discuss how to build a reliable and secure transaction mechanism, especially for the three-party payment model, in response to the exchange of information on cash flows across industries, how to ensure an accurate information transaction status without involving the exchange of personal data will be a significant and critical technical dilemma that needs to be urgently overcome.

16–19 July 2024 Applied Sciences' Best Paper Award: The 6th International Conference on Application of Optics and Photonics

The 6th International Conference on Application of Optics and Photonics will take place July 16 to 19, 2024, at the University of Aveiro, in Aveiro, Portugal.

The present scientific activity is the 6th edition of successful meetings, which started upon the extraordinary success of the first International Conference on Applications in Optics and Photonics, AOP2011, organized by the Portuguese Society for Optics and Photonics, SPOF, at the University of Minho (www.optica.pt/aop2011), followed by a second edition in Aveiro (www.aop2014.org), a third in Faro (www.aop2017.org), a fourth in Lisbon (www.aop2019.pt) and a fifth in Guimarães (www.aop2022.org).
