16–18 September 2021 CED-IADR/NOF Oral Health Research Congress 2021
As the largest multi-disciplinary oral health research association in Europe, the Continental European Division (CED-IADR) of the International Association for Dental Research, together with the Scandinavian Division (NOF), is looking forward to welcoming you at the 2021 CED-IADR/NOF Oral Health Research congress in Brussels, Belgium. This two-and-half-day event will present you with a broad scientific programme; state-of-the-art symposia, excellent keynote lectures, oral & poster presentations from a wide spectrum of dental disciplines, and workshops on research reporting.
Save the congress dates in your calendars: September 16-18, 2021.
As you all know, 2020 has been a challenging year. Besides the continuous pressure of COVID-19 restrictions we all are experiencing, oral health research was put on hold during Spring 2020. Due to the cancellation of the IADR centennial meeting in Washington, DC, USA (March 18-21, 2020), and the postponement of the PER-IADR congress in Marseille, France (September 10-12, 2020), many researchers did not have the opportunity to present their latest research findings and connect with colleagues. As a result, we learnt not to take real-life networking for granted.
It is, of course, difficult to predict how the COVID-19 situation will evolve in 2021 and which preventive medicine will be available. Be aware that, as a health organisation, we are closely monitoring the evolving restrictions to guarantee that all regulations in force at the time of the congress will be followed in preparation for the congress and during the congress. We are determined to ensure that you will experience some unique networking opportunities in whatever group size this will be possible.
Attending the CED-IADR/NOF Oral Health Research congress in Brussels, you will be invited to the CED-IADR/NOF Opening Ceremony & Reception on Thursday night, held at the magnificent historical Brussels city hall on the ‘Grand Place’ or ‘Grote Markt’. The CED-IADR/NOF Friday Get-Together will take place in a unique location with a real Brussels flavour. The modern and excellent congress venue ‘Square Convention Centre’ is located in the heart of Brussels, the capital of Belgium.
The multilingual city of Brussels is considered to be the de facto capital of the European Union (EU), giving you plenty of travel options (air travel, railway, car) and hotels (different price categories) to choose from. As a relatively small city, Brussels’ main tourist attractions, such as the Royal Palace, the Royal Gallery of St. Hubert, the Royal Museum of Fine Arts of Belgium, the Margritte Museum, the Parliament of Belgium and Manneken Pis, are within walking distance from the congress venue. Dine out in a traditional Belgian restaurant, or simply stroll around the famous city square ‘Grand Place’ or ‘Grote Markt’, whilst enjoying some Belgian fries in a paper cone.
Discover more of the city by using its super easy and fast public transport. Shop until you drop in the Avenue Louise area or visit the world famous landmark, the ‘Atomium’.
We are ready to restart our joint mission in advancing and improving oral health research, and it is therefore our pleasure to invite you to present your latest research at the 2021 CED-IADR/NOF Oral Health Research congress in Brussels, and to reconnect with your peers through rigorous exchange of research findings.
Hope to see you in Brussels!

20–23 September 2021 European Materials Research Society (E-MRS)
The European Materials Research Society (E-MRS) was established in 1983 through the initiative of individual European Materials scientists. A number of European materials scientists who attended the MRS meetings in the U.S.A. realised that such a society could be of benefit to Europe to enhance the links between materials science and industry and to provide a voice for the materials community.
Most of the problems facing the world such as energy supply and health will be solved only by breakthroughs in materials science. It is vital that the outcomes of research are utilised through technological experience and innovationfor the benefit of mankind.
The Fall Meeting provides the opportunity to exchange ideas, expand one's knowledge and make new contacts. The conference will consist of 23 parallel symposia and a plenary session and provides an international forum to discuss recent advances in the field of materials science. The conference will be augmented by an exhibition of products and services of interest to the conference participants.
The Conference will be held at the Central Campus of the Warsaw University of Technology, from 20th to 23rd September 2021. It is the 17th E-MRS Fall Meeting following its launch in 2002 to run in parallel to the Spring Meeting.

Dear Friends and Colleagues,
It is our great pleasure to invite you to participate in the 3rd International Conference on Food Bioactives & Health, that will be held on June 21-24, 2022 in the amazing city of Parma, Italy. This third conference in the series comes after the great success of the previous meetings, held in Norwich in 2016 and in Lisbon in 2018. Both events were very well organized and were a great success. We are, therefore, committed to match these standards and are preparing what we are sure will be a unique event. The topics addressed by FBHC2020 have been broadened to cover a wide range of topics on food bioactives and health, including (poly)phenols, carotenoids, glucosinolates & other organosulfur compounds, fatty acids & sterols, polysaccharides, and peptides & protein. In addition, a session will be devoted to toxic compounds, an often overlooked topic that is important from a holistic perspective in the role of food bioactives and their impact on human health. Particular attention will be paid on transversal topics such as personalised nutrition, gut microbiota, dietary intake, and nutritional policy. The Conference aims to offer plenty of networking opportunities, providing the chance to interact with renowned scientists and to stimulate creative exchange among researchers. Young scientists will have a lot of opportunities to showcase their work and obtain feedback from experienced international scientist. June is a perfect time to visit Parma, a lively and cultural city, located in Northern Italy, that is surrounded by parks, vineyards, lakes and medieval castles.
