Molecular Insight into Polymer Materials

Dear Colleagues,

This Special Issue attends to recent advances in and the emerging applications of diverse polymer materials, including adhesives, biopolymers and nanocomposites, among others. This Special Issue aims to collect recent experimental and numerical studies that focus on polymer chemistry and polymer physics in order to demonstrate the principals of this natural phenomenon. The Special Issue will incorprate several aspects of polymers, from original and fundamental research in academia, to the challenges encountered regarding their application in various domains, such as the environment, energy, biology, information, and nanotechnology. We welcome the submission of articles that focus on topics that include, but are not limited to, the following: polymer synthesis and modification (polymerization/polymer architecture), multiscale processing techniques (nanocomposites/polymer blends), films and coatings (surface/ interfacial characteristics), modelling and simulation of polymer properties (dynamics/thermodynamics), molecular organization (self-assembly/crystallization), technological applications with novel functionalities (electro-/thermo-/opto-responsive polymers), and state-of-the-art experimental and characterization techniques at the bulk, solution, and molecular level (spectroscopy/scattering).
