Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Obesity in childhood and adolescence is associated with psychological issues including depression and anxiety. Adolescents with obesity often experience suboptimal body image and challenges with peer relationships. Many obesity treatments focus on outcomes such as weight loss or other indicators of metabolic health. Programs to treat or prevent obesity, however, may impact psychsocial health, which likewise may hinder the effectiveness of treatment.

This proposed Special Issue, “Dietary Programs and Psychosocial Health in Adolescent Obesity”, aims to gather original research manuscripts, meta-analyses, and reviews that improve our understanding of the associations between diet, obesity, and psychosocial health in adolescents.
